Manchester Union Brewery has launched a new limited edition Oktoberfest Beer – Oktober.
Oktoberfest is a day of celebrations, to enjoy, delicious food, festive music and of course, a mighty selection of beer.
To add to that selection, Manchester Union Brewery has released their new limited edition lager with a modern twist on the classic Festbier and is only around for a short amount of time to celebrate the famous annual beer festival.
“Manchester Union Brewery is Manchester’s first and only dedicated craft lager brewery, and uses traditional central European lager brewing techniques paired with Mancunion swagger to create a unique legacy beer that the people of Manchester can be proud to call their own!”
Their seasonal lager is a 6% malt-forward and bready golden lager with the following taste profile:
Aroma – “Soft sweet caramel and honey and barley on the aroma.”
Flavour – “Soft, smooth, rounded with a welcome kick of caramel, honey, barley, malt, on the palate.”
The 1st Oktoberfest was held in 1810 to honor of the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
Manchester Union Lager is brewed at Manchester’s first and only dedicated craft lager brewery located in Ardwick. As well as their standard lager, they have a classic black lager which has bready and dark fruit flavours. Alos look out for their GORP – Good Old Raisins and Pilsner which is a collaboration beer between Manchester Union Brewery and Hikerdelic to enjoy on your next mountain hike. A dried fruit malt base is balanced with pilsner levels of hop bitterness and refreshing carbonation. Enjoy!
