Podberry – Healthy Snacks

If you’ve ever felt like a handful of green peas but don’t buy any fresh ones because the cravings to far in between, then Podberry has you covered.

Just like two peas in a pod, Podberry has created a snack version on the classic green pea and flavoured it for you.

Podberry was kind enough to send us all four of their flavours to try, which include:

  • Ham Hock
  • Sweet Chilli
  • Parmesan & Truffle
  • Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar

Their prices aren’t too expensive, with them charging £7 for 8 packs or £30 for 36 packs, they even offer a Variety Pea Pack which costs £7 and contains 2 of each bag, so a great way to introduce someone to your product, try it and see if theirs one that you like.

All their pods are Vegan friendly and Gluten-Free, along with being low in fat and high in protein.

All these peas have been harvested in Scotland, after harvest they freeze-dry them which preserves their green goodness and gives them that unique crunch, as said on their packaging… I don’t disagree.

Ham Hock

74 Calories

They still have their pea flavour, but coated in a grilled ham hock flavour.

Parmesan & Truffle

74 Calories

A nice balance of Parmesan, Truffle and Sweet Pea.

Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar

67 Calories

The Sea Salt is detected straight as soon as it touches the tongue, with a nice underline of Vinegar, while still keeping the Pea flavour.

Sweet Chilli

70 Calories

These peas still have their pea flavour, along with sweet pepper that can sometimes get you in the back of the throat with its spiciness.

Thank you Podberry for sending these through to us to enjoy, my favourite is the Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, although the Parmesan & Truffle came a close second, these Podberries aren’t just a novelty item, they actually taste good, each contains a nice balance of flavours, they make a good replacement for crisps.
