So, what is this new craze which is Vine?
Recently released by Twitter, Vine is the new buzz in video sharing via the micro blog social networking platform. Already being used by many with already some great viral videos being made, shared and viewed!
What is the point? Dom Hofmann, co-founder of Vine, said the two companies shared “similar values and goals” ~ “Like Tweets, the brevity of videos on Vine inspires creativity,” wrote Michael Sippey, Twitter’s vice president of product.
Vine allows users to create mini videos of 6 seconds or less, you can either create a full length video or the software allows you to pause and record in order to acquire varied clips to build your mini-video. These videos are shared on the Vine platform (you create your own unique ID, based on your Twitter identity) and these videos are shared also on Twitter.
Will this new trend work? Well, we think it is a great idea that allows for mini videos to populate Twitter and get messages across in a far quicker time than compared to searching through YouTube. Yes, you have to be creative and it would be hard to share certain topics, but as more people require video content delivered to them in quick format (they want videos to get to the point quicker), Vine will lead the way in micro-videoing.
